TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Volunteer Florida Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the FY 2025–2026 Rural Community Assets Fund (RCAF) grant program. This initiative is designed to enhance the capacity of community-based organizations by recruiting, equipping, and mobilizing volunteers who serve Florida’s rural communities. Through this funding opportunity, the Foundation aims to strengthen local organizations as they work to advance their missions and create meaningful impact in rural areas across the state.
The Volunteer Florida Foundation will distribute up to $150,000 in total funding to support organizational development and training initiatives for participating grantees. Eligible applicants may request between $10,000 and $15,000 per award. A 100% match—cash, in-kind, or a combination of both—is required and will be verified during the contract period.

“At Volunteer Florida, we recognize the incredible value that local organizations bring to rural communities across our state,” said Volunteer Florida CEO Josie Tamayo. “Through the Rural Community Assets Fund, we’re proud to invest in their efforts by supporting volunteer-driven solutions that strengthen community connections and ensure that every Floridian has access to meaningful services and support.”
