Volunteers in Service To America (VISTA)

Volunteer Florida administers an intermediary Volunteers in Service To America (VISTA) Program in Florida, in partnership with AmeriCorps, the federal agency. This program provides nonprofits and public agencies with needed resources to better serve their communities.

VISTA members, ages 18 and older, perform capacity building activities, over the course of a year, through private nonprofit organizations and public agencies. Members of the VISTA program develop and mobilize resources that create long-term sustainable community benefits in the areas of health, education, the environment, public safety, and employment.

Through VISTA programming, Volunteer Florida supports robust initiatives to promote economic opportunity and environmental protection.
