Continuation, Recompete and Planning Grant Guidance, FY 2024 AmeriCorps Formula
Volunteer Florida will support continuation, recompete and planning grant submissions.
Deadline: Submissions are due via eGrants by 5pm (EST) on March 6, 2024. Support documents are also due by this deadline via Blackbaud Grantmaking.
Each year, approximately 200,000 Americans meet critical community needs through service in AmeriCorps nationwide. With funding from AmeriCorps that is administered by Volunteer Florida, AmeriCorps members in Florida dedicate a year of their life to intensive community service in exchange for a modest living stipend and education award. The experience often leads to a life enriched by volunteering and in many cases, a career in the nonprofit or public sector.
AmeriCorps programs address critical community needs including education, disaster services, economic opportunity, conservation and natural resources, healthy futures and veterans and military families. Sample activities include tutoring and mentoring youth, response to local disasters, restoring natural habitats and job training/placement. AmeriCorps members also mobilize community volunteers and strengthen the capacity of the organizations where they serve.
Please direct any questions, including interest in a planning grant, to americorpsrfp@volunteerflorida.org.
