Volunteer Florida announced that the 11th annual Suits for Session service project resulted in the collection of 3,041 items of professional attire. The clothing will be donated to Dress for Success Greater Orlando, FSU ProfessioNole Clothing Closet, and Valencia State College– organizations that support Florida job seekers as they enter or re-enter the workforce.

Donation highlights include:

  • Total Women’s Clothing and Accessories Collected: 2,028
  • Total Men’s Clothing and Accessories Collected: 1,013
  • Total Items Collected: 3,041
“We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our state agency partners, sponsors, and community members who made this year’s Suits for Session such a success,” said Josie Tamayo, CEO of Volunteer Florida. “Collecting more than 3,000 pieces of professional attire means thousands of new opportunities for Floridians to step into job interviews and careers with confidence. This initiative is a powerful reminder that when we come together in service, we can make a tangible and lasting impact in communities across our state.”“Our partnership with Volunteer Florida through the Suits for Session program continues to make a tremendous impact on the students we serve,” said Rob Liddell, Ph.D., Assistant Vice President for Career Services in the Florida State University Division of Student Affairs. “Thanks to these generous donations, the FSU ProfessioNole Clothing Closet within the Career Center is able to provide students with the professional clothing they need to approach interviews, internships, and career opportunities with confidence. We remain deeply grateful for this collaboration and the meaningful difference it makes in the lives of our students.”
