Volunteer Florida, the organization responsible for managing AmeriCorps programs in the State of Florida, is pleased to announce the FY 2026 AmeriCorps Formula Guidance. Each year, approximately 200,000 Americans meet critical community needs through service in AmeriCorps nationwide. With funding from AmeriCorps that is administered by Volunteer Florida, AmeriCorps members in Florida dedicate a term of intensive service and receive workforce development training, living stipends, education awards and professional development.
AmeriCorps programs address critical community needs including education, economic opportunity, conservation and natural resources, healthy futures and veterans and military families. Sample activities include tutoring and mentoring youth, restoring natural habitats and job training/placement. Priority consideration will be given when projects demonstrate support for the state’s economic competitiveness and workforce development, prioritize Florida’s environment and natural resources, and/or preserve the quality of life and connectedness of the state’s communities, including the movement of people and goods.
