TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida Governor Rick Scott and Volunteer Florida today thanked CVS Health for supporting the Florida Disaster Fund as part of an in-store customer donation campaign to help with rebuilding efforts underway in areas impacted by recent hurricanes.

As part of this initiative, the company pledged to match all customer donations with critical products and supplies, up to $10 million. The CVS Health Foundation also made a $50,000 donation to the Florida Disaster Fund.

Florida Governor Rick Scott said, “We are grateful for the support of CVS as the State of Florida continues the recovery process. CVS and its customers’ support of the Florida Disaster Fund will help us get families, businesses, and communities back on their feet as quickly as possible.”

“We’ve been impressed by the overwhelming expression of generosity among our colleagues and customers across the country who continue to seek ways to help the people impacted by Hurricane Irma,” said Helena B. Foulkes, Executive Vice President, CVS Health and President, CVS Pharmacy. “We’ll continue to do our part to deliver the necessary resources and support that these communities need to begin the long recovery process.”

Through September 28, customers can donate $1, $3 or more at the register of any CVS Pharmacy location. Funds will directly support recovery and rebuilding efforts in impacted areas, including the Florida Disaster Fund. The total amount donated by customers will be matched by CVS Health with up to $10 million in product donations, including cleaning supplies, non-perishable food and personal care items.

Volunteer Florida CEO Vivian Myrtetus said, “We are grateful for the support of CVS Health as the State of Florida continues the recovery process. CVS and its customers’ support of the Florida Disaster Fund will help us get families, businesses, and communities back on their feet as quickly as possible.”
