Christy Rojas

Emergency Management Deputy Director

Christy earned her undergraduate degree in political science and a graduate certificate in emergency management and homeland security from Florida State University. She is also a recipient of the Florida Professional Emergency Manager certificate and a graduate of FEMA’s National Emergency Management Advanced Academy. Christy worked as the Unmet Needs Coordinator at the Florida Division of Emergency Management before starting to work at Volunteer Florida as the Community Emergency Response Team(CERT) Program Manager in August 2016. In March 2019, she was promoted to Emergency Management Deputy Director.
