Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Volunteer Florida CEO Corey Simon applauded Governor Ron DeSantis’ signing of the Freedom First Budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023, which supports volunteer efforts, disaster preparedness, and includes historic reserves to effectively respond to any emergency. “This is good, solid stewardship. Together with the Legislature, Governor DeSantis’ Freedom First Budget invests in Florida’s families, plans for the future, and strengthens our fabric as a state,” said Volunteer Florida CEO Corey Simon. “We are continuing our commitment to enable nonprofit organizations throughout the state to serve our communities and empower Floridians in need.
