2017-2018 AmeriCorps Formula RFP
Volunteer Florida is pleased to announce the 2017-2018 AmeriCorps formula funding RFP. Applications for funding are due April 6, 2017.
Each year, over 1,300 individuals in Florida and more than 80,000 across the United States, meet critical community needs through service in AmeriCorps. With funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service that is administered by Volunteer Florida, AmeriCorps members dedicate a year of their life to intensive community service in Florida. The experience meets critical needs and provides on-the-job career training.
AmeriCorps programs address community needs including education, disaster relief, economic opportunity, protecting natural resources, serving veterans and military families, and more. Sample activities include tutoring and mentoring underserved students, responding to local disasters, restoring natural habitats, and job training/placement. AmeriCorps members also mobilize community volunteers and strengthen the capacity of the organizations where they serve.
Technical assistance conference calls are scheduled for March 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. (continuation applicants only) and 2:00 p.m. EST (new/recompete applicants). To register for a call, please email anitra@volunteerflorida.org. You will be provided a call-in number and password once you register.
