TALLAHASSEE, Fla.Volunteer Florida is pleased to announce over $18 million in funding available to support the affected 18 counties declared eligible for disaster case management services following Hurricane Idalia.

The funding, provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), will support a Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) that will connect Hurricane Idalia victims with a case manager assigned by the provider who can help them achieve recovery through assessments of unmet needs, financial planning, progress monitoring, development of a goal-oriented plan that outlines the steps necessary to achieve recovery, and more.

“Volunteer Florida is proud to administer this funding on behalf of the State of Florida, with the support of FEMA and the Florida Division of Emergency Management,” said Volunteer Florida CEO Josie Tamayo. “This funding will help Floridians find the resources needed to recover from Hurricane Idalia.”
