Sabeen Perwaiz is Executive Director of Florida Nonprofit Alliance an organization that strengthens, promotes and advocates on behalf of Florida’s nonprofit sector. Under her leadership, FNA released the state’s first interactive economic impact report, first compensation report and first individual giving survey for the state’s nonprofit sector.
Sabeen was has been named an Aspen Ideas fellow, 40 under 40, Women of Influence and a National Business Journal Influencer. She has also received a One Jax Humanitarian award. Her career has centered on empowering individuals through education at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, Vital Voices and Pace Center for Girls. In 2013, she moved to Cambodia to implement an Early Childhood Education program with Aide et Action and was instrumental in increasing the number of preschools in Cambodia’s rural provinces.
Sabeen moved to Jacksonville in 2011. She volunteers as Executive Producer of TEDxJacksonville and is a founding member of the organization. She is on the board of directors of Jacksonville Arts and Music School. She is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and Leadership Florida Connect. She is also a member of Jacksonville Women’s Network and Women’s Giving Alliance.
Sabeen was born in Karachi, Pakistan and raised in New York City. An avid traveler, she has lived on three continents, visited 42 countries, and hopes to visit at least 100 countries in her lifetime. She and her husband, Asghar, are proud parents of their toddler, Raza.
