Consultation Process for AmeriCorps National Directs

Volunteer Florida is excited to have the opportunity to consult with AmeriCorps National Direct programs to better serve the needs of our state.

The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act requires that any applicant proposing a multi-state AmeriCorps program (referred to as a National Direct program) consult with the State Service Commissions in the states where they intend to operate an AmeriCorps program. Volunteer Florida sees the consultation process as a way to foster meaningful partnerships that will further promote the use of national service as an effective strategy to address unmet needs in communities throughout the state of Florida.

Please complete the form below as the first step in the consultation process if your organization is:

  • applying for a new or recompete National Direct program that will serve Florida;
  • currently operating as a National Direct in Florida (including proposing to open a new site in Florida).

We will connect with you to share the additional resources to benefit AmeriCorps National Directs provided by Volunteer Florida. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact
