Julie Galvano is a native of Manatee County who has worked in various healthcare positions throughout her career. She is currently the Director of Business Development and Physician Relations for Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida.

Galvano has a B.S. Degree in Public Relations and Broadcast Journalism from Troy University where she graduated as the Outstanding Graduate in the School of Journalism. She also interned at the National Journalism Center, and Radio America, and volunteered at the Presidential Inaugural Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Galvano also worked in the United States Senate for Senator Connie Mack, before returning to Manatee County.

Galvano has been very active in the community throughout her lifetime. The Galvano’s have hosted the “Phil Galvano Golf Classic” for the Manatee Education Foundation for 20 years. The golf classic has raised over 2 million dollars for Manatee County public classrooms. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Cotillion Club of Manatee County, Manatee Arc, and as Chairman of the “Great Outdoors Conservancy” fundraising event. She has been a local committee chair for the Boy Scouts of America, and served as the President of the Junior League of Manatee County.

Galvano lives in Bradenton, Florida with her husband, Senator Bill Galvano and their three children, Michael, William and Jacqueline.
