Sabeen Perwaiz is Executive Director of Florida Nonprofit Alliance an organization that strengthens, promotes and advocates on behalf of Florida’s nonprofit sector. Under her leadership, FNA released the state’s first interactive economic impact report for the state’s nonprofit sector and forged new partnerships with Florida Chamber Foundation and Department of Labor.

Sabeen was a 2015 Aspen Ideas fellow, a 2016 Jacksonville Business Journal Women of Influence and a 2017 One Jax Humanitarian award recipient. Her career has centered on empowering individuals through education at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, Vital Voices and Pace Center for Girls. In 2013, she moved to Cambodia to implement an Early Childhood Education program with Aide et Action and was instrumental in increasing the number of preschools in Cambodia’s rural provinces.

Sabeen moved to Jacksonville in 2011. She volunteers as Executive Producer of TEDxJacksonville and is a founding member of the organization. She is on the board of directors of Jacksonville Arts and Music School, University of North Florida’s Engineering School and Atlantic Institute of Jacksonville. She proudly serves on Leadership Jacksonville’s Leadership Development Team. She is also a member of Jacksonville Women’s Network and Women’s Giving Alliance.

Sabeen was born in Karachi, Pakistan and raised in New York City. An avid traveler, she has lived on three continents, visited 38 countries, and hopes to visit at least 100 countries in her lifetime.
