Betsheell “Billie” Louis serves as the Florida State Program Director with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and is a National Service Alum (AmeriCorps VISTA 2007-2008). Billie has been with CNCS for over 7 years, serving as a Program Officer for both Alabama and Florida. In addition to her roles in the field, Billie serves as a CNCS subject matter expert on performance measurement and has been instrumental with several CNCS agency wide initiatives, including the implementation of national performance measurements, compliance monitoring training and program policy development.

Billie began her career in the private sector as an Assurance Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers Boston, but transitioned to the nonprofit/public sector shortly thereafter. Prior to joining CNCS, Billie worked with Communities In Schools of Florida as the Assistant Director of Program Services where she managed a statewide VISTA grant that included partnerships with Communities In Schools affiliates, Tallahassee Community College, the Florida Attorney General’s Office and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. Billie is a Certified Nonprofit Professional and a proud Rattler/Knight alumna, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida.

In addition to her career in service, Billie serves her hometown of Orlando, Florida, as a Provisional Member of the Junior League of Orlando, Girl Scouts volunteer, Orlando AmeriCorps Alums Board, Commissioner for Orlando Mayor’s Martin Luther King Commission and Board Member for the Orange County Citizens Review Board.
