Autumn Karlinsky was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott and confirmed by the Florida Senate to the Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service, which is also known as Volunteer Florida, on December 21, 2011. In 2014 Commissioner Karlinsky was elected by fellow Commissioners to serve as the Chair of the Volunteer Florida Commission for 2014-2015.

Commissioner Karlinsky holds leadership and advisory positions in various local, statewide and national organizations. Commissioner Karlinsky together with her husband, Fred, endowed the Florida State University (“FSU”) College of Law Karlinsky Family Scholarship. The Scholarship provides support to incoming law students. In addition, the Karlinsky’s endowed the Karlinsky Family Student Lounge in the FSU College of Law Advocacy Center.

Among the many organizations closely touched by Commissioner Karlinsky’s work include the Barbara Bush Foundation For Family Literacy, Temple Dor Dorim and Imagine Charter School at Weston. Commissioner Karlinsky has actively participated in the Barbara Bush Foundation For Family Literacy as the Steering Committee during the Children’s Celebration of Reading event since 2012.

In 2009 and 2010, Ms. Karlinsky planned and executed the Temple Dor Dorim Annual Fundraising Gala benefiting Kids in Distress. She also served as Vice President of CHAI, the parent-teacher organization at Temple Dor Dorim Early Childhood Center and chaired various fundraising committees to support Early Childhood Center programming.

Commissioner Karlinsky has actively volunteered on the Parent-Teacher Partnership Board at Imagine Charter School at Weston since 2008. Having previously served as Gala Chair, Fun Run Chair, Special Education Chair to Red Ribbon Week, Book Fair Chair, Room Mom, Character Education Week Chair and Teacher Appreciation Chair, she also advises fundraising efforts and chairs fundraising events on behalf of the Parent-Teacher Partnership, which has raised money for technology, books, sound system and numerous other provisions for the school.

Ms. Karlinsky has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 1993 and a Registered Dental Hygienist in Florida since 1997. In addition, she has been a member of the Dental Assisting National Board since 1993 and a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association since 1997.

The Karlinsky’s reside in Weston, Florida, with their two children.
