Awards Outstanding Pensacola Volunteer with a Free Cruise to Alaska thanks to Cabot Creamery

Tallahassee, FL – Volunteer Florida today announced the winner of the 2016 Volunteer Florida/Cabot Creamery Celebrity Cruise. Pati Bryan, who volunteers with the Council on Aging of West Florida in Pensacola, will join dozens of other volunteers from organizations across the nation on the 2017 Cabot Community Celebrity Cruise aboard the Celebrity Solstice.

“Volunteer Florida is thrilled to partner with Cabot Creamery again this year to recognize an outstanding volunteer with a free cruise,” said Volunteer Florida CEO Chester W. Spellman. “Pati Bryan embodies a spirit of giving and service that is truly inspirational. We are grateful for Cabot Creamery’s partnership in recognizing her service.”

Volunteer Florida hosted a competition during Florida Volunteer Month in which Floridians could nominate an outstanding volunteer to win a free cruise provided by Cabot Creamery on the Celebrity Solstice. The cruise honors the powerful achievements and contributions of volunteers.

“The farm families who own Cabot Creamery are often the first to volunteer in their communities and they look to honor the efforts of volunteers across the country,” said Cabot Brand Communications Manager Nate Formalarie. “Pati’s work is changing people’s lives for the better and improving her local community. This type of selfless effort is at the core of the Cabot Community Celebrity Award.”

“Pati’s work with the Center on Aging has been a blessing to our community,” said Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward, who serves on the Volunteer Florida Commission. “Her dedication to strengthening our community through her service makes her the perfect recipient of this prize. We could not be more proud to have amazing volunteers like Pati in the City of Pensacola.”

“I am thrilled beyond words that Pati was selected as the winner of the 2016 Cabot Celebrity Cruise in recognition of her outstanding volunteer achievements,” said John Clark, President and CEO of the Council on Aging of West Florida. “Pati is like family at our day care center; she is respected by both clients and staff.”
