The Florida Medical Reserve Corps Network Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers

The Florida Medical Reserve Corps Network is comprised of both medical and non-medical volunteers that help augment Florida's First Responders during disasters. They want to make a real difference in the lives of all Floridians!

Local Coordinators for the Medical Reserve Corps make sure that all volunteers are properly screened and trained and have the necessary equipment to help disaster survivors.

Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers assist by staffing Points of Dispensing and Points of Distribution, educating Floridians and improving health literacy on public health issues, helping at community health and non-emergency events, and supplementing public health preparedness and response. They are also very involved in H1N1 planning and implementation, data gathering, and training and exercises with local responders and other public health partners.www.servfl.com
