Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Join a project on January 19, 2009, and serve your community!

Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. Visit MLKDay.gov.

A day ON, not a day OFF...To honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., join volunteers across America in a day of service to honor his legacy. Together, we can feed the hungry, rehabilitate housing, assist older adults, tutor those who can't read, clean up neighborhoods, console the broken-hearted, and more!

Volunteer Florida, along with our partners, the Corporation for National and Community Service, Florida's AmeriCorps programs and the Florida Association of Volunteer Centers, are leading the effort to increase MLK Day participation. You can join an organized service project in your area, or you can coordinate a project of your own!

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" -Martin Luther King, Jr.
