around the globe to help cleanup Florida’s precious beaches and preserve the natural environment. In addition, you'll meet other like-minded people, become better acquainted with your natural surroundings, learn about ocean conservation issues and have lots of fun! Last year 29,494 volunteers participated in the Florida’s International Coastal Cleanup day, removing 442,599 pounds of trashand debris from 1,891 miles of Florida’s shoreline.

“It is important that we in the State of Florida are responsible stewards ofour natural resources and I am proud to support measures to ensure we protect our environment for future generations,” said Honorary Chair Governor Charlie Crist. “Florida’s natural resources are second to none and together we can take steps to protect those resources.”
