Experts have estimated that 750,000 households remain displaced by the 2005 hurricanes. Survivors remain in need of services such as counseling, health care, and mentoring. This alarming statistic also highlights the need for increased support for disaster preparedness and relief, and additional services to strengthen American families and communities.

In response, Volunteer Florida and the Florida Association of Volunteer Centers (FAVC) are proud to announce our partnership with the Points of Light Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network on the “We Are Family” campaign to benefit disaster relief and family strengthening efforts across America. The all-star remake of “We Are Family” features artists such as Patti LaBelle, Ciara, Chris Brown, Lyfe Jennings, and many others.

“We Are Family” features nine additional tracks contributed by artists including Martha Munizzi and BeBe Winans. The package also includes a poster designed by Thomas Kinkade, and a “behind the scenes” DVD featuring exclusive artist interviews including cameos by Serena Williams and Alfre Woodard.
