“National Service Includes Everyone” Grant Opportunity

Including persons with disabilities in Florida’s AmeriCorps programs is a priority for the Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service (Volunteer Florida). For the last eight years Volunteer Florida has continued to strengthen relationships with disability organizations on a local and statewide basis to achieve this goal.

Purpose of Grant

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to expand efforts of Volunteer Florida to include persons with disabilities in AmeriCorps programs throughout Florida. Projects will operate between October 15, 2006 and December 31, 2007. Extensions beyond 2007 may be approved pending continuing grant approval and satisfactory grantee performance.
