Emergency Prevention and Readiness Outreach (EPRO)

THE GOAL of the Emergency Prevention and Readiness Outreach initiative (EPRO) is to assure that all Florida residents have equal access to disaster preparedness information

EPRO combines the skills and experience of Florida's senior population with faith-based and cultural associations and agencies that offer services to persons with disabilities. Together, they provide critical disaster preparedness and mitigation information to residents for whom language, culture or disability are barriers to communication or action.

EPRO is a Homeland Security program funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) in partnership with Volunteer Florida, the Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service. Please see the map below for a listing of counties and programs awarded EPRO grant funding for 2005-2006.
