If you are a Local Faith or Community-Based Organization or Long Term Recovery Organization that is not a member of VOAD at the local or state level, then you MUST submit the following form in addition to the application forms:

Once the applicant has been approved, you will be enrolled into the Florida Donations Portal and contacted to set up a training session in the Sandbox.
The Sandbox is a training Web site that mirrors the Florida Donations Portal. It is specifically set up to provide practice sessions and training on how to use the Florida Donations Portal. We highly encourage the use of the Sandbox to maximize familiarity of the Florida Donations Portal prior to times of disaster.

What is the Florida Donations Portal?
The Florida Donations Portal is a partnership of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, FEMA, the AidMatrix Foundation, and Volunteer Florida matching donations to community needs across the state following a disaster. Participating recipient agencies are eligible to accept donations offered through the Portal and also make requests for specific needs. There is no cost involved.
Who can use the Portal? (back to Application)
County/Municipal Emergency Support Function 15 (ESF 15) Coordinators – These coordinators are designated by the local emergency management authority to manage volunteers and donations during disaster response.
State ESF-15 Partner Agencies – Entities that serve statewide must be:

Designated as a 501(c)3 organization.

A current member in good standing of Florida Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (FLVOAD) and are committed to providing essential services in accordance with established VOAD/COAD principles, policies and procedures.

A State ESF-15 Support Agency with an executed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Volunteer Florida no more than 2 years old.
Local Faith or Community-Based Organizations, or Long Term Recovery Organizations that is not a member of VOAD at the local or state level – Entities that serve the local disaster-impacted community must be:

For purposes of continuity, Volunteer Florida highly recommends that the local agency enroll in a local Volunteer/Community Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD/COAD) if there is one available.

The Florida Donations Portal, managed by Volunteer Florida and supported by The Aid Matrix Foundation and FEMA, is linked to a nationwide network of other state donation portals whose supporters include National VOAD and the US Chamber of Commerce. These businesses, corporations, and individuals trust that the organizations and the community needs entered into the Florida Donations Portal represent actual needs and will support disaster survivors.
