Members also provides social service assistance in the areas of information & referral, professional development, foreclosure aid and help applying for public benefits. The goals of the program are to provide safe and supportive communities and school success.

AmeriCorps members serve in local disasters and emergencies and to educate communities about disaster preparation.  Members increase public awareness and education to prevent, prepare for and cope with all types of emergencies and disasters. Members also serve veterans through information and referral, educational services, and as mentors.  In the event of a disaster, members are trained to deliver direct services to disaster victims.

Rebuilding Together’s AmeriCorps program, called the Rebuilding Together CapacityCorps is a high-impact National AmeriCorps* program of 65 full-time AmeriCorps members serving in 33 Rebuilding Together affiliates in 20 states. Rebuilding Together CapacityCorps members will build the capacity of Rebuilding Together affiliates to serve additional low-income homeowners through volunteer recruitment, client outreach, and direct repairs for low-income homeowners, new project implementation, community partnership development and program expansion.
