Pauline "Polly" Wilkie

pauline wilkiePauline "Polly" Wilkie has been volunteering and fundraising for worthy projects since she was 16 years old. As President of the Prestige Club, she raises funds for the Police Athletic League, Children's Harbor, and James Junior Fund for Joe DiMaggio and youth scholarships. She serves on the Jimmy Ryce advisory Board for Missing Children, the Deerfield Beach Housing Authority and is the founding Chairman of the Deerfield Beach Boys and Girls Club. As Chairman of the Self-Sufficiency Program for Broward County, she helps women transition off welfare by helping them get new homes and careers. For the past six years, Ms. Wilkie has also served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of Crime Stoppers of Broward County.

Ms. Wilkie's other association memberships include: Miramar Pembroke Chamber, president for 3 years; Deerfield Chamber, 7 years; Crime Stoppers, president for 3 years; Davie Cooper City Chamber, president for 8 years; and Prestige Club for Children, president for 5 years. Ms. Wilkie was also a board member for Easter Seals, Light of the World Clinic and served as chairman for Ranch Roam, Deerfield and Davie Boys & Girls Clubs. Polly has received prestigious awards from the Governors Points of Light, March of Dimes Woman of Distinction, and the Ease Foundation Humanitarian of the Year, just to name a few.

Ms. Wilkie was appointed to the Commission by Governor Jeb Bush on September 1, 2004.
