Carl Weinrich serves as President/CEO of Sarasota Family YMCA. Under his leadership, the agency launched a pilot project privatizing Florida's foster care services in Sarasota, a project that was later expanded to include services in Manatee County. The agency was also instrumental in starting a YMCA movement in the Ukraine.
Weinrich is past president and a 20-year member of the Rotary. Weinrich serves on the board of the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce on its political outreach arm (REAL). Weinrich received his Bachelor of Science in physical education from Jacksonville University.
Mr. Weinrich was appointed to the Commission by Governor Jeb Bush on July 24, 2000.
