As Regional Marketing Manager for Starbucks Coffee Company, Jerry Thorpe’s responsibilities encompass establishing all Florida retail store brand marketing, advertising, public relations and promotions for more than 250 stores. In his prior position as Starbucks’ Community Affairs Manager, Central Zone, Mr. Thorpe was responsible for all volunteer and giving efforts, increasing employee community volunteer hours by 170 percent, and Starbucks Foundation local community literacy grants by 45 percent.
Mr. Thorpe, a 1978 graduate of the University of Maine, served on a number of charitable boards and executive committees, including the Resource Center of Dallas and the Lonestar Ride Fighting AIDS. Mr. Thorpe also is a student of Boston College’s Institute on Corporate Community Involvement.
