Dr. Ann L. Henderson is the President of the Rodel Foundation — Key West. Rodel-Key West is dedicated to strengthening the institutions and agencies of Key West that are critical to promoting a healthy community and an active cultural and civic life.
Dr. Henderson graduated from Vassar College (A.B.), the University of New Hampshire (M.A.T), and the George Washington University (PhD). She studied in India as a Fulbright Scholar and she was the first U.S. recipient of the Eisenhower Fellowship. She is the winner of a Best Editorial Award from the Florida Magazine Association, a Smithsonian Fellowship and the U.S. State Department’s Meritorious Service Award. She is the author (with Gary Mormino) of "Spanish Pathways in Florida and Commemoration," published by the American Association of State and Local History. Prior to joining the Rodel Foundation, Dr. Henderson worked for the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Florida Humanities Council, the United States Department of State, and as a public school teacher.
Dr. Henderson was appointed to the Commission by Governor Bush on September 1, 2004.
