Susan Glickman

Susan Glickman directs The Florida Business Network for a Clean Energy Economy, a coalition of business leaders in Florida working together to support the transition to a clean energy economy. Susan is a consultant on climate and energy issues to Natural Resources Defense Council, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy and Ceres.

Susan has worked in a variety of issue areas – on tobacco policy with the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids; on nationwide health-tracking John Hopkins School of Public Health and the Trust for America’s Health; as an advocate for federal research funding for prostate cancer with the National Prostate Cancer Coalition. Susan was recently named by the St. Petersburg Times as one of 10 People to Watch in these turbulent economic times and Creative Loafing’s Green 100 - people, places and businesses leading the way toward a greener Tampa Bay. She has worked on numerous political campaigns including two statewide ballot initiatives. Susan has trained candidates and grassroots political organizations in 45 states and in the former Soviet Union.

Susan was recently appointed to The Governor's Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service and is on the Board of Florida’s Foundation. She was the founding chair of The Florida Commission on the Status of Women. Susan is a Florida native and grew up in the Tampa Bay area. She currently lives in Belleair Beach. She hold a BS in Speech Communications from the University of Texas at Austin.
