Joe Follman

Joe Follman serves as Director of the Florida Alliance for Student Service (FASS) based at Florida State University. The Alliance includes Florida's Campus Compact and Office of Collegiate Volunteerism, a statewide VISTA program, and Florida Learn & Serve. Learn & Serve supports K-12 youth involvement in service learning, and each year 150 schools and 25,000 students participate.

Three of his books, "Learning by Serving," "Comprehensive School Improvement," and "Reducing School Violence," have been placed in every public school in Florida. Follman also wrote "A Guide to Establishing Youth Service-Learning Councils" and currently teaches service learning at FSU.

Mr. Follman serves as an ex-officio member to the Commission.
