Kherri Anderson

Kherri C. Anderson is a native of Martin County, Florida. She is a product of the Martin County School System, graduating from South Fork High School in June of 1999. Following high school, Anderson earned an Associate in Arts Degree in May 2001, from what was then Indian River Community College, now Indian River State College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Florida Atlantic University in May 2004.

Anderson has been employed by the Martin County Supervisor of Elections Office as the Deputy of Elections Outreach since 2005. In her position she develops and implements community outreach education programs and projects; fundraises; works with public and private schools to do mock election programs and student forums; coordinates special events with the media, and prepares press releases; attends community functions as the Supervisor’s representative; develops programs to increase student voter registration; and prepares relevant reports of program success.

Her efforts have won her two Judges Image Awards from the Florida Public Relations Association for Outstanding voter outreach campaigns both at the local and state level; NAACP “Bringing Communities Together” Award; Arnold Stanberry “Rising Star Community Achiever” Award; and Soroptomist Women of Distinction Nominee.

Anderson has been a very active contributor to her community. Both past and present involvements include: LEADERship, Martin County, Graduate Class 17; YMCA of the Treasure Coast Board Member, 2007-2009; Martin County Education Foundation Board Member, 2007-2009; Education Foundation Evening of Excellence “BIDS FOR KIDS 2008” Event Co-Chair; Florida Atlantic University Alumni Retreat Event Co-Chair, 2007; Florida Atlantic University Alumni Executive Committee Member, 2007-09; United Way of Martin County Loaned Executive, 2007-present; NAACP, Martin County; Florida Public Relations Association, Treasure Coast Chapter; Florida Atlantic University Treasure Coast Campuses, Women’s Leadership Committee; and recently elected to the New Monrovia Board of Directors.

Anderson also volunteers at her church, serving on the Hospitality Welcoming Committee, assisting the Christian Education Department, and working with the youth program.
