Available Positions:

Emergency Management Director

Primary responsibilities:

  • Directs the Commission’s Emergency Management program including overseeing all aspects of Emergency Support Function 15 (ESF-15)
  • Develops and maintains the emergency management plan for the Commission
  • Leads ESF-15 activities at the State Emergency Operations Center during emergency activations and exercises
  • Assists volunteer agencies in development of emergency management related capabilities

The target start date for this position is November 1, 2014. The salary is expected to be between $62,000 and $72,000, based upon experience. A full benefits package is included with this position.

For the successful candidate, Volunteer Florida participates in the Florida Retirement system, will provide a life insurance policy, and will cover health insurance (employee only – family coverage requires a co-pay).

Volunteer Generation Fund Program Manager

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assists in the design of a modular training program that builds upon existing curriculum and materials, and can be delivered in one to three day sessions
  • Assists in the development of business rules and processes for an online grant application portal used to solicit Florida non-profits for participation in this program
  • Assists with the selection and then management of fifteen (15) Florida non-profits
