News Flash!

For your convenience, the deadline to register for the 2006 Florida AmeriCorps and National Service Conference on December 1 – 2, 2006, at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, FL, has been extended to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006.  Please register as soon as possible and join us at this special event!

AmeriCorps Director Kristin McSwain now confirmed as Conference Speaker!

Conference Purpose:

• To provide quality trainings for all National Service Members that will strengthen skills and increase knowledge of service-related issues and best practices.
• To strengthen the Florida's National Service network by providing opportunities for National Service participants to connect with their peers from across the state.
• To motivate and inspire National Service Members to demonstrate a "lifelong ethic of service" by staying engaged in service and volunteer efforts within their communities.

Conference Dates:

Friday, December 1, 2006 at 1 p.m. Eastern time through Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Conference registration deadline is Friday, October 27, 2006

A Special "Walk to Your Future" Exhibit area
will be provided throughout the conference.
